Hi, I'm Marissa Johnson.

Navy veteran, attorney, media personality, and influencer. I've lived a lot of different lives, and none of them went the way I thought they would.

I started in the military, where structure and discipline aren't optional. You learn how to show up whether you feel ready or not. It shaped how I move through the world, but it also made me realize how much I crave depth, emotion, and understanding. I've always been someone who thinks deeply, feels deeply, and asks a lot of questions.

Law school was a different kind of challenge. It stretched me mentally and personally. There were moments I felt confident, and others where I was quietly questioning if I even belonged. I was trying to expand my mind while also trying to hold myself together. It wasn't linear, and it wasn't easy.

At the same time, parts of my life became very public.

From reality TV to media, I had to learn how to be seen while I was still figuring myself out. There are moments I'm proud of, and moments that were messy, uncomfortable, and necessary for my growth.

I've had to become different versions of myself in different seasons. Not to reinvent myself, but because life required it. And for a long time, I didn't know how to hold all of those versions at once.

I have ADHD, which means my mind is always moving. It's creative, curious, and full of ideas, but it can also feel overwhelming. It's my superpower and my challenge. It's also what pushed me to build systems that actually support me.

Not perfect systems. Real ones.

Checklists, routines, habits that help me stay grounded in a life that's constantly evolving.

And then there's beauty.

Skincare, hair, self-care. These are things I didn't fully explore growing up, but as an adult, I've fallen in love with them. Not just for how they make me look, but for how they make me feel. Taking care of myself became a way to come back to myself.

That's where this started.

I created byMarissaJohnson because I needed a space that could hold all of this — and it didn't exist.

A space for the woman who doesn't fit into one box. Who has lived different versions of her life. Who is still becoming. And who is learning how to hold it all at once.

Right now, I'm living in Japan as a military spouse, newly married to my best friend, building a life that looks nothing like I planned — and somehow still feels exactly right.

I care about connection. I care about honesty. I care about building a life that actually means something.
